Ruki's are back in fashion with a whopping SIX new colours to choose from! Rediscovered and reclaimed for Moderneopets, these new colours should help you discover your love for Ruki's... if you didn't love them already!

Depending on what kind of Neopian you are - today is a day to either celebrate or dread... for today The Neopian Pound opens its doors to Neopians far and wide to either discard their unwanted Neopets - or pick up those who have been carelessly and heartlessly abandoned.

Don't fret though, as the pound does far more than just take in unwanted Neopets. Their services allow you to transfer your Neopet to a friend or other wanting owner, and even allow you to exchange Neopets completely with another Neopian.

If that wasn't impressive enough - they also have the ability to swap the identification numbers that are given to each pet on birth. Allowing you to get the perfect number for your pet... if you can find someone willing to trade that number, of course.

These services do not come free though, and depending on what service you want to use with certain Pets you can end up racking up quite the Neopoint bill... but without charging the pound won't be able to continue their service, so it's something we'll have to suffer with.

These mysterious statues forged out of maractite ore seem to have come alive!
Is this a bad omen? Do they mean harm - or will they be our friends?
Who knows what this entails! All we know is they look awesome.
(And now the Maractite paint brush isn't useless, woohoo!)

We have included 1 new rule under prohibited content and a new section called Exceptional Circumstances.

It is the day of celebrating love and connection - and we here at Moderneopets are no different. You have all been amazing and we always like spoiling you for it - today is no exception! This time we show our love with... more gifts. Yup. Chocolates and other surprises lay in store for you.

If you click the button in the sidebar you will be given a bunch of valentines gifts! Since this is our very first valentines there will be a big bonus surprise gift or two as well, that won't be included in any following years.


Winter Gifts has been revamped and made better! With the change we can re-use it easily for further events. We even added in cool little things like it being able to grant more than one gift at a time for different item pools. We don't want to get your hopes up too much so we'll start off by saying Ginger unfortunately wont be showing up to give wishlist items in this event. However there are some other rarer goodies that you can find...


When opened this will give you:
2 random NC Items and a chance at a Sparkling Heart Wand.

You will get one of these in your valentines gift bundle from the sidebar, and they will show up at a 1/10 chance for the event gifts as well.

If that's not enough for you though... Admin is back at it again and will be donating a bunch of them to the Money Tree EVERY HOUR throughout the day!

For those of you who have been staring down your pastel paint brush wondering why it's so darn useless hopefully will be delighted with the beautiful Pastel Lutari in this colour drop - but that's not all... there's far more coming soon.

The General Store in Neopia Central has you covered! No matter what time of day - or night - that you arrive, there'll be plenty for you to buy.

The shop keeper loves the talents of others and has even decided to help sell and spread items that you Neopians yourselves have made! He will choose a small selection of them daily to sell (so they don't go running out!) and these will be priced from 25,000 to 50,000 NP each.

For now this only includes User Customs from the Hazer's Month Off event - but may grow in the future to contain even more goodies!

So some of you may have heard about the health issues I have been experiencing with (since well, a bit before Christmas... but it got a bit worse). It recently landed me in hospital for a while which was a bit of a scare since that was the first time I've ever had to stay in hospital for any period of days.

However your guys support and love helped me through it and now I'm at home recovering, and I was itching to do something for you all in return for your kindness - so here is a mini event to celebrate my ongoing recovery and the amazing community that Moderneopets has fostered.

There's not too much new content wise coming from this event, as it's mostly just a 'gift' than anything else, but to extend on it I will be working on some wanted features (and some ideas that users received quite well!) so keep checking as Moderneo is as lively as ever!
