Yes. However, we allow the use of all Unicode characters, including ones known as "ZWC" (Zero Width Characters) - as the name implies, ZWC have no width, and therefore are completely invisible. You can use these to effectively have the "same name" as other pets. When transferring any pets with ZWC the ZWC will be made visible to the other user just so that they know it isn't an "original" name without a ZWC present; in-case they just want the original with no workaround.
You can go to a unicode helper site such as this one and copy it via the button provided; then all you need to do is paste it in the pet name field. Please note if the name is popular you might need to use a couple of them rather than just one!
To turn your pet into an alternative colour that you see in the rainbow pool, you need to have the pet's main colour and then visit the Genetics Laboratory and pay 50,000 NP and choose which alternative version you want. You cannot get alternatives naturally through flasking or any other method.
NC Mall items are purely for collection purposes, to help with themed galleries or pets. Customization will not come to MN purely because of the incredible effort it would take from our artists and possible extra scrutiny from Neopets.

No. If you're playing on the main server (https://www.moderneopets.com/) then you are safe from account wipes. However, if you're playing on the test server (https://test.moderneopets.com/) then you may experience account/database wipes during testing.

Yes! However I'm working on the core features of the website right now, once a lot of the core has been implemented (such as a working economy) then I will be working on the more "fun" aspects such as Battledome and HTML5 games for you all to play.
Right now we have Tyranu Evavu and plans to add in more PHP games, as well as HTML5 converted games kindly given to us by Ben from Grundo's Cafe.
Right now I'm looking for this to be a portfolio piece so I won't be accepting help development wise - this might change down the line depending on how popular the site becomes. As for artists - We are accepting help, all you have to do at the moment is message me on discord with some examples of Neopets styled artwork, and if you're good at mimicing it, then you'll be accepted in!
